Tandem Ride of Death
For our birthday, William and I decided to treat ourselves to a tandem. Seemed like a great idea as I am a 12-13 mph kind of plodder, while Bill could easily ride a much faster average. So first time we take it out we decide to go to the Hilliard path, a nice straight rails to trails path, round trip about 13 miles. Had a good ride despite the delightful wind. So next time we decide to head to Johnstown and ride to Granville. I kind of figured it would be about 16 miles. So the way out was great, really starting to get the hang of it. But on the way back I thought Bill was trying to do strange stuff to get me off balance. Turned out that the handlebars had managed to work loose, and then bike tool was in the pouch on my road bike miles away at home. Bill managed to get it tightened with a vehicle key. We managed to make it back and get the bike loaded up. Legs sore, when we got home Bill plotted distance at 22 miles! Fear not! If it ever stops raining, I am ready to try again!

Rainy days and Mondays. . .
Yes another rainy Monday in central Ohio. Yesterday had an indoor tennis match. Played doubles with Heather and won in the dreaded Mayor Coleman tiebreak. Then the Dilts family headed out from the Westerville Comunity Center for a 15 mile bike ride. Did I mention that Carolyn was not overly thrilled by the wind? Today was fine, students were doing fine. Eddie did not have tennis and looks like tomorrow will be a chilly tennis match.

Saturday
Today started with a great tennis workout. Then home to do a little work before taking an 11 mile bike ride with Wm and the children. The blue cruiser was out for the first time with owner Carolyn doing quite well. Yankees beat the Red Sox making my afternoon even better. Boys will go see the CBJ tonight. Now watching the Masters hoping to absorb some golf skills. Also like how pretty it looks in Augusta. Thus ends blogging on the iPad!
